  • Hippocampal Neuron-Derived Extracellular Matrix Coated Nanofibrous Scaffold for Neural Tissue Engineering

    The aim of this study is to prepare poly-L-lactide( PLLA) electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds coated with hippocampal neuron-derived extracellular matrix( N-ECM)and construct a novel neural tissue engineering scaffold.Neonatal rat hippocampal neurons were seeded on PLLA nanofibers,and then decellularized to derive a cell-free extracellular matrix loaded N-ECM/PLLA modified scaffolds. The morphology and ingredients of N-ECM/PLLA were observed by scanning electron microscopy( SEM) and immunofluorescence staining respectively, and the cytocompatibility of the composite scaffolds was characterized by cell count kit-8( CCK-8) assay. The N-ECM was clearly identified loading on scaffolds when being imaged via SEM and immunofluorescence staining results showed that the N-ECM was made up of fibronectin and laminin. Most importantly, compared with tissue culture polystyrene and pure scaffolds, N-ECM/PLLA scaffolds could effectively facilitate the proliferation of rat adrenal neuroma cells( PC12 cells),indicating their better cell compatibilities. Based on the combination of N-ECM and PLLA biomaterials,the present study has fabricated a unique and versatile neural tissue engineering scaffold,offering a new thought for future neural tissue engineering.

  • Folic Acid-Polyethyleneimine-Ethosome as a Potential Tumor Targeting Carrier: Preparation, Characterization and in vitro Evaluation

    A novel composite carrier of folic acid( FA)-polyethyleneimine( PEI)-ethosome( Eth)( FA-PEI-Eth)was developed for the treatment of cancers through loading and targeting delivery of multidrug( including gene and other drugs) into cancer cells. Physical and chemical property tests were done to prove the grafting of the composite. Gel retardation test was done to determine the optimal ratio of DNA@ PEI complex,and cytocompatibility tests and tumor cell uptake tests were done to evaluate the efficiency of the composite. The results demonstrated that the FA-PEI-Eth could effectively deliver a gene and other drugs into tumor cells simultaneously,and suggested that this composite would be a promising carrier in tumortargeted therapy applications.

  • Preparation and Properties of Electrospun Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)/Polyurethane (PU) Composite Nanofiber Membranes

    Polyvinylidene fluoride( PVDF)/polyurethane( PU) composite nanofiber membranes were prepared by mixing PVDF and PU at different mass ratios. The microstructure and the crystal structure of the composite nanofiber membranes were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy( SEM),Fourier transform infrared( FTIR)spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction( XRD). The hydrophilicity, mechanical properties and piezoelectric properties were also tested. Results showed that when the mass ratio of PVDF to PU was 9 ∶1,the fiber membrane had the best microstructure,and the crystal form of PVDF changed from αcrystal to β crystal in the electrospinning. The addition of PU improved the hydrophilicity, mechanical properties, and piezoelectric signal of the fiber membrane. When the mass ratio of PVDF to PU was 9 ∶1,the tensile strength reached the peak value of( 10.39 ± 0.41) N,and the output voltage reached the maximum value of( 1.98 ± 0.12) V.

  • Effect of Dip Coating Process on the Performance of Graphene/Spandex Yarn Strain Sensor

    This study presented the effect of the concentration of graphene in the dispersion,the type of polyvinyl alcohol( PVA) and the surfactant on the sensing properties of dip-coated graphene/spandex yarns as resistance strain sensors. Experimental results showed that the addition of styrene-acrylic emulsion surfactant facilitates the dispersion of graphene and then improves the conductivity and sensing performance,and the sensitivity is up to 91. The conductivity and sensing properties of graphene/spandex yarns at 2% graphene dispersion are better than those at 1% graphene dispersion. When the conductive yarn treated by 2% graphene dispersion is stretched to 50%, the sensitivity is up to 29, the repeatability is good,and the hysteresis is low. In terms of the binding agent,PVA as a high alcoholysis and large polymerization decreases the sensitivity,repeatability as well as the hysteresis.

  • Preparation and Characterization of Resistive Strain Sensor Based on Braided Skin-Core Rope

    This study proposed a new yarn-like strain sensor on the basis of the braided skin-core rope,and investigated the effect of braiding structures on the sensing properties of sensors. The morphology and electromechanical properties of the strain sensor with different braiding structures were compared and evaluated. The results show that the sensing performance of the sensor from a braided skin-core rope depends on both the number of yarns in braiding and the metallized process of braided rope. Generally,the present stretchable skin-core rope-based sensor provides a basis for the formation of a highly sensitive sensing structure.

  • Preparation and Properties of Chitosan/Polyvinyl Alcohol Blended Fiber Membrane for Medical Dressing

    The antibacterial dressing prepared by the electrospinning can play a role in protecting the wound,preventing infection and promoting wound healing, and have broad application prospects. Chitosan( CS)/polyvinyl alcohol( PVA) blended fiber membrane was successfully prepared by electrospinning. The fiber morphology,thermal properties and material composition of CS/PVA blended fiber membrane were studied,and the interaction between CS and PVA was analyzed,and the optimum blend ratio was also determined. Then glutaraldehyde( GA) steam cross-linking of the blended fiber membrane was carried out in order to improve the water resistance of the fiber membrane. At the same time,the effect of different crosslinking time on the water resistance of fiber membrane was investigated. The apparent morphology of the fiber membrane was observed by a scanning electron microscope( SEM). The results showed that with the increase of spinning solution concentration,the morphology of the fiber became more and more regular,and the fiber diameter increased gradually. The intermolecular interaction between CS and PVA was found by Fourier transform infrared( FTIR) spectroscopy and thermal properties, which improved the spinnability of CS electrospinning. After crosslinking,the water resistance of the fiber membrane was greatly improved,among which the effect of 4 h crosslinking was the best,and the water resistance of the fiber membrane increased by 64.89%.

  • Cotton Fiber Recycling Processes in Indigo Denim Fabrics

    This paper studied the recycling process of cotton fibers in indigo denim fabrics. X-ray diffraction( XRD) and Fourier transform infrared( FTIR) spectroscopy were used to characterize the crystal morphology,the grain size and the chemical composition of cotton fibers after alkali treatment. The mechanical property test and the bulk length test were done. The results show that the main functional group of the obtained regenerated cotton still exists,but the absorption peak of the bound alkali appears at the wavenumber of 3 701 cm-1,and the crystallinity shows a downward trend. The K/S value increases first and then decreases,and the mechanical properties and the length of the body have a certain degree of damage.

  • Recovery of Polyester/Cotton Blended Fabrics by Alkali Dissolution

    A new type of alkali-soluble polyester/cotton blended yarns was used to knit a compact knitted fabric on a circular weft knitting machine,treated with 5 g/L Na OH solution for 60 min at a temperature of 100 ℃,and the polyester was completely dissolved. The dissolved polyester could be polymerized again by a polycondensation reaction.After the cotton fibers were opened and combed,the length and mechanical properties of the cotton fibers were tested.The physical and mechanical properties of the separated cotton fibers were good. The chemical structure and crystallinity were analyzed by Fourier transform infrared( FTIR) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction( XRD) analysis.It could be seen that the chemical structure of cotton fibers was almost unchanged after treatment,and the crystallinity decreased slightly. It provides some reference for the separation and recycling of waste polyester/cotton fabrics.

  • Cloning and Expression of Extremely Heat-Resistant Endo-β-1,4-Glucanase Gene from Thermotoga maritima in Bacillus subtilis

    Gene encoding endo-β-1,4-glucanase( TM1525) is derived from Thermotoga maritima( T. maritima),which has an open reading frame of 825 bp and encodes a 274 amino acid endo-β-1,4-glucanase. This enzyme has the same high temperature resistance as thermophilic bacteria,which is an ideal property for industrial applications. By molecular biological means,TM1525 was cloned into p HT43 vector and introduced into Bacillus subtilis( B. subtilis) WB800 N by electroporation. The results showed that the WB800 N expression system was successfully constructed, and extracellular expression of the recombinant gene was achieved. Cellulose hydrolyzed activity of the protein was exhibited.

  • Physical Properties of Muga Silk and Its Application Potential in Biomaterials

    The paper investigated the physical properties of muga silk. Surface properties, linear density, moisture regain and mechanical properties of muga silk were tested before and after degumming. The results show that muga silk has tiny fineness and high strength. The average fineness and the strength of the monofilament are 1. 52 dtex and5.62 c N/dtex, respectively. This makes up for the shortcomings of other kinds of silk,and has great potential in the application of biomaterials.

  • Determination of Selenium in Water by Vortex-Assisted Cloud-Point Extraction Combination with Fluorescence Detection

    A simple vortex-assisted cloud-point extraction( VA-CPE) method combined with the fluorescence( FL)strategy was developed to extract and determine inorganic Se( IV) in environmental water. Toluene was used as an extraction reagent,and Se( VI) was reduced to Se( IV) by subjecting its solution in 4 mol/L HCl to microwave heating for generating a yellow piazselenol complex using 3,3'-diaminobenzidine( DAB) and Se( IV). The concentration of the complex exhibited an excellent linear relation with the FL at 560 nm with an excitation wavelength of 420 nm. In addition,the effects of the toluene volume,p H,and VACPE parameters were investigated and the interference from coexisting ions was also studied. This method was successfully applied to determine the concentration selenium in environmental water samples with a detection limit of0.05 μg/L in the line range from 0.50 μg/L to 50.00 μg/L.

  • Topological Optimization of the Hot Press's Frame Plate Based on OptiStruct

    Weight reduction of the frame type veneer hydraulic press is an important object. The finite element model is made up,importing the 3 D model of the frame to the OptiStruct block for meshing and optimization. Static stress analysis is made to the hot press' s frame,ANSYS is used to build the frame's finite element model,and then the internal force distribution,displacement and deformation of various parts are obtained under certain working conditions.In order to reduce costs,it is necessary to optimize the previous model and reduce the weight of the frame.Alterable density method is a novel method in topological optimization. OptiStruct is used to make topological optimization of the frame and to obtain the new model.Compared to the previous model, the latter one can guarantee the strength and the rigidity, achieving the purpose of saving materials.

  • Prediction of the Logistics Demand Based on an Innovative Mixed Model: an Empirical Case from Nanping City,China

    The research intends to make scientific prediction of the logistics demand of Nanping City based on mathematical model calculation so as to provide reasonable strategic guidance for the sustainable and healthy development of urban logistics industry. It constructs a comprehensive index system composed of freight volume and other eight relevant economic indices to form the foundation for the model construction. Combining forecasting models of principal component regression and GM( 1,1) together,it makes mathematical calculation to predict the logistics demand of Nanping City from the years 2018 to 2022. The research makes systematical analyses of the indices influencing the precise prediction of logistics demand from a new perspective,which offers an innovative and practical option for urban logistics prediction. In line with the prediction,it offers some suggestions for the improvement of demand prediction and some strategies for the better development of the logistics industry in Nanping City.

  • Influence of Network Embedding on the Transformation Performance of Original Equipment Manufactures

    Based on the embeddedness theory,this paper analyzes the impact of network embedding features and types on the transformation performance of foundry enterprises. Through the investigation and analysis of more than 200 foundry enterprises in Zhejiang Province,it is found that network relationship embedding and structure embedding have positive impacts on transformation of foundry enterprises. Professional embedding and technical embedding have a positive effect in the transformation of foundry enterprises,and knowledge absorption ability has a positive adjustment role in the transformation performance of network embedding foundry enterprises.

  • Impact of China's Outward Foreign Direct Investment on Enterprise Performance

    The present study seeks to address two fundamental questions.( 1) Does outward foreign direct investment( OFDI) enhance enterprise performance ultimately?( 2) How does this effect come about? A new dataset from the years 2011 to 2016 based on the micro-data of 88 Chinese multinational-listed enterprises was used to test research hypotheses with the mediating effect modeling approach. The study results reveal that:( 1) the investment intensity has a positive influence,while investment span has a negative influence on enterprise performance;( 2) the enhanced innovation capability can considerably increase the enterprise performance,while investment intensity and span both hinder the upgrading of innovation capability; and( 3)the innovation capability of an enterprise plays a partial intermediary role among investment span and enterprise performance. However,there is no mediating effect between investment intensity, innovation ability, and enterprise performance.
